Assassin's Creed Valhalla Revenue

Ubisoft must be chuffed with Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The open world RPG has now generated over $1 billion in revenue, making it the most financially successful entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Back in October, it was crowned the publisher's second most profitable title ever.

Valhalla released just over a year ago, in November 2020, so this is a pretty crazy achievement. It's a single-player game, but it's regularly updated with equipment and cosmetic packs that you can purchase with real money. It's also received two premium expansions — Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris — with a third expansion, Dawn of Ragnarok, launching in March. Clearly, Ubisoft's live service approach has worked wonders.

But while Valhalla is raking in the big bucks, it should be noted that Ubisoft is, reportedly, suffering from internal struggles. The pandemic, along with workplace allegations, have apparently had an impact on the company's output to the point where it's supposedly preparing a new, smaller Assassin's Creed game for release either later this year, or in 2023.
